Week 23 - Boulogne

Hello everyone, this week was very good!

On Thursday we had a Zone Conference and Interviews, which is always good, and we had an activity where we went out to the street and basically practiced contacting, and I went out with Elder Dominguez, the AP [Assistant to the President, one of the missionaries with the most responsibility in the mission] and this Elder was crazy, like sprinting after people, and stopping them trying to talk to them, but he was quite a good missionary.

I realized after that, at that point, he only had 3 days left in the mission, which means he left this morning, but he still had that excitement, so I learned a lot from him. Later in that Zone Conference all of the members of the Stake came to receive a training with us from the President of the Area, which was really good and got everyone super-hyped about missionary work.

On Saturday afternoon two of our lessons got canceled because who knows, nobody is reliable here, so we went to contact a reference on the other side of our map in an area called the "Villa Cava".  This villa is divided up into things called, "manzanas" [blocks] and absolutely no named roads and just a bunch of small passageways, and I thought for sure we were gonna get robbed, the reference didn't actually exist, but it was still cool to explore this place.

Anwyays, we are just trying to bring as many people to church for the December 23rd... Gonna be a great Sunday

1. Do you have a piano in your church? Can anyone play? 

we have a very out of tune piano, and the first counselor is the only one that knows how to play so he has to run back and forth

2. Did you get to watch the 1st presidency devotional?

no

3. Did you get a Christmas card from me yet? I sent one to the office and one to the address you gave me.

i got the card from you and Ryan's family and the magazine from dad

4. How often to the missionaries get their mail from the mission office?

never

5. Have you ever gotten any actual mail? I have never sent you anything in the mail (sorry), but I was wondering if anyone else has?

no mail, no one really gets mail

6. Do you have any plans for Christmas?

be a missionary

7. What is your companions 1st name? Garret asked me and I didn't know.

8. Are any of the people that you have baptized still coming to church? 

Yes, one of them is in the primary presidency and is preparing for a mission, 2 of them once in a while,  others we are working on to go to the temple

9. Why did you have all that cash in the picture you sent? I thought the church wired your rent money?

They gave us money to pay some expenses like water and stuff
